josiah by *brandonwitzel is a strikingly honest portrait. This deviant chose the perfect depth of field to intensify the subject's already cutting stare. Lovely work! (Featured by `rhapsouldize)
Wow, great shot, I love the expression in his face and you captured a great intensity in his eyes. What type of lighting did you use? it seems you brought out the freckles... or maybe that's just his skin.
Wow... Technically awesome, it's just perfect. But the content bugs me I mean his face... these eyes... scares the shito out of me... and what's more is that his face is extremely asymmetrical... it's not an everyday face.
But technically awesome, perfect focus with this shallow dof, and amazing lighting! I guess the lighting is just plain natural, but you played a little with the white balance there? I love the cool and high key feeling of that photo. Amazing... I'd gladly fav it, if it didnt scare me that much...
this is an amazing shot. he looks so innocent and his eyebrow makes him look inquisitive.
how did you manage to get these colours? filters, or did you do it in photoshop. if you did it in photoshop, can you teach me how!

It's really amazing how you captured this moment, it makes the charachter much more interesting when you have a close-up shot, I mean there are plenty of ways to make a good shot, but yours is just one of a kind. Great job
Now it's time for August 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!
Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it! Fave Fave Fave! My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations. Artists need to be supported. So don't be shy!
Here's the Menu per Category :
